The Moon
'... if your head explodes with dark forebodings too I'll see you on the dark side of the moon. '
Ablaze with stars, the intense blue of the sky presents to us a Moon cratered and pocked by the meteors of time, shining with the reflected glory of the Sun. Casting its light over a world in sleep, the Moon tempers the glory of the Sun and shines with a glory of its own.
Beneath this majestic object in the sky, is this a lunatic curled into a fetal position, dreaming his/her life away? Or, is it simply a lost traveller or a hiker at rest. Behind them, we see the forest trees and the curve of the world. All is still and quiet.
Strong shadows from the light of the Moon connect the sleeping figure to the edge of the world, and to the trees pointing into the sky. What strange dreams may come?
